Touchdowns For Tomorrow is a new event hosted jointly by Kappa Sigma and Phi Mu. It is a flag football tournament that will raise money for mental health and suicide awareness in honor of Wyatt Banks and McAuley Millen, two of our belated members. The tournament will be held on Wednesday, March 19th. Leading up to the event, we will have percentage nights and a “draft night” at Paloma Park where we will announce the brackets, hand out shirts, and do a raffle. Our ultimate goal is to have a fun, long-standing tournament that honors two amazing people taken from us too soon. We expect to have roughly 80 teams between the women’s and men’s division. That means 640 participants, ~160 coaches, and many more spectators. All the coaches and players will receive a shirt with your logo on it, and the shirt will also be available for spectators to buy. Logos will be organized by tier from top to bottom, the higher the tier, the larger the logo. Our goal is to make a real impact in our local community, at Marist High School(Wyatt’s alma mater), and to create an event that all 9,500 members of UGA Greek Life can enjoy annually. This event has a lot of room to grow, and we are eager to tell you more about our plans for the years to come.
